Strip Door Kits are a great way to save money in electric bills while keeping an opening usable.  The clear pvc allows for fork lift drivers and pedestrians to see what's on the other side before they enter.  The overlapping strips help prevent the loss of cold or warm air.

Strip Door Hardware

Strip door kits come with universal galvanized steel hardware.  This allows the door to be mounted to the face of the wall, or under the door jamb.  Steel pegs are located every 2 inches and the hardware comes with a mounting plate to sandwich the pvc strips securely for use.

To determine the amount of material you need to complete your strip door kit please use the formula's below.

For 6” 2/3 lap style, multiply the width of the door x 3
For 8” ½ lap style, multiply the width of the door x 2
For 12” 2/3 lap style, multiply the width of the door x 1.5
For 12” Full lap style, multiply the width of the door x 2
For 16” ½ lap style, multiply the width of the door x 1
For 16” ¾ lap style, multiply the width of the door x 1.25
For 16” Full lap style, multiply the width of the door x 1.5
Width of door x (See above) = # of Strips
Height of door x (# of strips) = amount of material
Multiply the amount of material times the price per ft.
Multiply the width of the door by $8.00 (Cost of hardware)
Add hardware cost and material cost together to get your estimate.
Strip door material will be cut to desired lengths with pre drilled holes for mounting at no extra charge.
Universal Steel Hardware $8.00 per foot.

STRIP DOOR MATERIAL SELECTION CHART

STANDARD STRIP MATERIAL

The standard strip door material is a clear, vinyl material available in strip widths of 6", 8", 12" and 16".  The material selected for our strip doors has outstanding clarity and stabilizers added to the raw vinyl compound that helps reduce fading and yellowing due to ultra violent light.  The standard strip material is easily cleaned by using water and household detergent.

 RIBBED STRIP MATERIAL

The ribbed strip door material has a unique, triangular shaped ribbing which helps prevent scratching of the strip material surface due to heavy use from truck and cargo traffic.  An added benefit is that the ribs on both sides of the material add to energy savings effectiveness by creating small pockets of air space as insulation.  Another benefit of the ribbed material is that the ribs reduce the contact between the surfaces of the strips creating less static electricity.

 WELD STRIP MATERIAL

The weld strip material is designed for doors enclosing areas where welding is being performed.  It's tinted color helps reduce the incidental effects of bright, ultra violet light from welding arcs.  Sparks fly off the thick material, yet it is transparent enough that supervisors and others can view welding area.

 USDA STRIP MATERIAL

USDA Vinyl strip is a material that meets federal government requirements for incidental contact with meat, poultry and diry products.  It is available in reinforced vinyl strips which function at temperatures as low as -30 degrees F.

 ORANGE SAFETY STRIP

A bright orange vinyl safety strip material can be used to outline hazardous areas as well as marking door jamb edges and high-traffic areas.
